Coronavirus: 671 new cases – 25 dead, 340 intubated



The announcement of EODY:

Today we announce 671 new cases of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), of which 17 were identified after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 146688 , of which 52.1% are men. During the tracking it was found that 5673 (3.9%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 44562 (30.4%) are related to an already known case.

340 people are treated by intubation. Their median age is 68 years. 239 (70.3%) of the intubated are men. 86.5% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. 1000 patients have been discharged from the ICU since the beginning of the pandemic.

Finally, we have 25 new deaths from the disease COVID-19, reaching the 5354 deaths total in the country, of which 3161 (59.0%) men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.5% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
